Surface: This trail is a multi-use equestrian, hiking, and mountain bike trail. It is mostly single track horse trail with some four wheel drive pasture roads.
Description: The 50 Mile is a double loop of the Horsethief Canyon, Prairie and Alum Creek trails. The trail marathon is the first loop and will include 3.7 miles of dirt road. The trails will include hills, rocky sections, sand and numerous shallow water crossings.

Aid Stations: Well stocked manned aid stations at the start/ finishnnarea & Alum Creek parking area at approximately 14 & 17.7 miles. Water,nelectrolyte drink and drop bags at an unmanned aid station atbapproximately 7 & 19 miles. Note: The area between the two manned aid stations has no access points for handlers. It is all deep in four wheel drive country, if bad weather conditions exist then we may not be able to set up the unmanned aid station. Three to four water bottles are recommended if this aid station isn't set up.
