(17 miles east of McKenzie Bridge) and ending at Paradise
Surface: Varies from very clean fir needle forest trail to sections of loose lava rock
.... lots of twists and turns.
Description: The first two miles
takes you up past two incredible roaring water falls as you run along the
river and then along the edge of crystal Clear Lake to the turnaround at
the upper trailhead (6.5 m). Back down the north side of the lake past
the falls again from the other side of the river and on through the
Tamolitch Valley lava beds. The rest of the course is mostly shaded
forest trail, with the occasional rock or root toe grabber.
Elevation Change: Start at 2950', climb to 3200', finish at
1400'
Altitude Range: 3200' down to 1400'
Longest Climb: There are no long climbs; lots of rollers
