Surface: Dirt fireroads and singletrack trail with approximately 1 mile of pavement.
Description: Magnificent vistas of the rugged California coastline, the Pacific Ocean and the city of San Francisco. Varied and challenging terrain ranging from well maintained, though exposed, fireroads through chaparral to rocky singletrack trails through forested, fern covered ravines. There are waterfalls, flowing streams, multiple sections steep enough to have stairs and even a ladder to be climbed.
Elevation Change: Climb 7500'; Descent 7500'
Altitude Range: 0' - 1500'
Longest Climb: 1500' over 3M (M17 -20); 900' over 1M (M29 -30)
Time Limit/Cutoffs: 8 Hours
Aid Stations: 8; @ mile 4.4, 8.0, 10.7, 13.2, 17.3, 20.4, 25.7 & 28.7
