Surface: Dirt fireroads and singletrack, 3 miles paved bikepath.
Description: Course goes through Eucalyptus, Redwood and Pine forests, open range land and across ridgetops offering magnificent views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate. Mostly gradual inclines with several short, steep climbs and one long, sustained climb. Good running surfaces with little rock or roots and no stream crossings. First 30 minutes are in the dark.

Time Limit/Cutoffs: 12 hours; 6 hours at 25 mile turnaround and 10 hours at mile 39.5
